I'm planning on canning some bread & butter pickles. Two questions, # 1 is: can I refrigerate any left over Mrs. Wages mix to use at another time as I'm not sure I will have enough cucumbers at anyone time to make the 7 quarts as per the package mix?

Question # 2: can I use Mrs. Wages bread & butter mix to can green beans. My husband ate canned pickled green beans when he was young but that is all he remembers about them.

Thanks for any help given

Yes you can save the mix for a few days, in the refrigerator. Or for a few weeks in the freezer.
I would think you could use to pickle beans, but i am not sure of the taste. Probably want to use the sweet pickle mix. gppd luck and let me know how it turns out.

I have pickled beans in the past and they are very good! If you do can them with the B&B mix, let me know how they come out. It may be an interesting new taste for a relish plate!
